10 States Have No Restrictions On Chemical Spraying in Cannabis Grows. Is yours one of them?

Ten of the states that have legalized cannabis do not have restrictions on the types of pesticide sprays growers can use on their bud. 

 

If you live in a state on this list, ask your bud tenders what is being sprayed on your marijuana.

 

1. Alaska

Alaska does not have any pesticide restrictions, contaminant testing, pesticide labeling, and have not discussed organic options for their medical grows. The state is still in discussions regarding their recreational growing.

 

2. Arizona

Arizona has no pesticide restrictions, but does test for pesticide residues and requires growers list all the chemical additives used during the growing process. 

 

3. California

California does not have any pesticide restrictions, contaminant testing, pesticide labeling, and have not discussed organic options for their medical grows.

 

4. Colorado

Colorado does not have any pesticide restrictions, but local municipalities may further regulate. The state does not require containment testing, but does require growers list all the chemical additives used during the growing process.

 

5. Hawaii

Hawaii does not have any pesticide restrictions, contaminant testing, pesticide labeling, and have not discussed organic options for their medical grows.

 

6. Michigan

Michigan does not have any pesticide restrictions, contaminant testing, pesticide labeling, and have not discussed organic options for their medical grows.

 

7. Montana

Montana does not have any pesticide restrictions, contaminant testing, pesticide labeling, and have not discussed organic options for their medical grows.

 

8. New Mexico

New Mexico does not have any pesticide restrictions, but regulators may conduct unannounced inspections if complaints over contaminants are received. 

 

9. Oregon

Oregon does not have any pesticide restrictions, but but testing for contaminant residue is required and each label must include the name of the testing facility.

 

10. Rhode Island

Rhode Island has no pesticide restrictions, but does test for pesticide residues and requires growers list all the chemical additives used during the growing process.
